Trees are our friends, They bear the sun's heat, and give us shade. thay add to the natural beauty. They give us fruits even if we throw stone at them. They dried, they give us wood. This wood can be used as fuel or timber. They helps to bring rain. They control pollution, and their stop deserts. Thus trees are most useful friend to men. No wonder, some trees are considered holy and are worshipped, and tree-feeling is considered a sin. Trees have important place in Hindu religion in Indian culture. We cannot do without such useful friends as trees. Hence the afforestation programmes, and save trees campaigns. We must have trees to maintain the nature balance.

how to calculate the overall Band Score?
Students who just attended the exam or going to attend an exam, all are having one common question, " how to calculate our IELTS band score " but most people use the online calculator to calculate IELTS score because they really don't know how to calculate it manually. So no need to worry now you can calculate your band score within 5 seconds.
To calculate a band score manually just you have to follow the below instructions.
1.    1st you need to add your all Bands together, (for example Your score in different modules are as given….for
reading-7.5
writing-8.0
listening-7.0
speaking-7.0)
So we will add it all together just like shown below l.
(7.5+8.0+7.0+7.0=29.5)
2.    So now you have your sub-total, which is29.5 and you have 4 modules (Subjects)
3.    Now you need to divide your sub-total (29.5) by because you have total 4Subjects. (Example: 29.5 / 4 = 7.375)
4.    That means your overall band score is 7 because your total is less than 7.500

Preference-Eating

Some People prefer to eat at food stands or restaurants. Other People prefer to eat food at home.Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

As more and more young people prefer to eat at restaurants because of its convenience, I would like to eat at home as it is cheaper, cleaner.

First, nobody will deny that eating at home is much cheaper than eating in the restaurants. As the restaurants are meant to make profits, they will count the service fee in our bill and the price for the dishes are also higher than the normal. Compared with this, eating at home is much cheaper as we buy the materials directly from the sallers.

Another reason to be considered is that the food we make is very clean. Because the restaurants' goals are to make
money, sometimes they will not use the best materials and sometimes they even use something with bad quality. This is very harmful for our health. Making dishes at home can avoid this problem as we are cooking things for ourselves, we will absolutely use the cleanest way to do it.

Of course, for some people whose work is very busy, eating in the restaurants may be better for them as they do not have much time to cook. Also, sometimes people cannot buy the raw materials easily will choose to eat the restaurants. It is also very necessary for holding some parties in the restaurants so there will be much more room.

In conclusion, although eating in the restaurants is very convenient for some busy people, eating at home is still very necessary as it is much cheaper and
cleaner than the food in stands.

IELTS Essays - Model Answer

Crime is a serious and growing problem in most societies. Although many people believe that the best way to tackle this is to place people in prison for longer periods, others are of the opinion that other measures will be more effective.
There are benefits of giving offenders longer prison sentences. Firstly, spending a long time in prison provides an opportunity for the prison services to rehabilitate a prisoner. For example, someone who has committed a serious offence such as assault will need a long time in prison in order to be sure they can be re-educated not to re-offend. In addition to this, longer prison sentences will act as a deterrent for someone who is thinking of committing a crime.
However, some people argue that leaving people in prison for a long time means that they will mix with other criminals and so their character will not improve. One alternative is community service. This gives an offender the opportunity to give something positive back to society, and so it may improve their character. Also, the government could focus its resources on the causes of crime, which would lead to less crime in the future.
In my opinion, it is important to look at alternative methods. Many countries have lengthy prison sentences, but crime has continued to increase throughout the world, so it is clear that this is not completely effective. That said, long prison sentences should remain for those who commit serious crimes such as assault or murder, as justice for the victim and their family should take priority.
To conclude, there are good arguments for and against long sentences, so governments must continue to research the various methods of crime reduction to ensure effective policies are in place.
